How to Look Your Best on Your Big Day: Tips for the Perfect Spray Tan on Your Wedding Day

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Getting a spray tan before your big day can be a great way to look and feel your best and the perfect accessory to your dream wedding dress. You deserve a little glow up!

A spray tan can give your skin a sun-kissed look for your special day. It can also even out any blemishes or discoloration in your skin tone and give you a beautiful, healthy glow. Plus, it saves you from the potential damage of the sun or a tanning bed. With a spray tan, you can have gorgeous, natural looking color that won't look too fake or orange. It's a great way to give your skin an extra boost of confidence and look your best for your big day!

Something also to note, a bridal spray tan is not the same as a vacation spray tan. As I type this, I am getting ready to leave early tomorrow morning for a vacation. No spray tan this time, but I do love a glow for many occasions and on my wedding day! Gone are the years I would lay in a tanning bed or put baby oil on my skin. Oh my, what was I thinking! Highly recommend not doing any of the forementioned. A pretty glow is all that a bride should achieve. For brides with natural pale tones a spray tan can warm up your skin tone against your bridal gown to give a bit of contrast. For brides with natural darker skin tones a spray tan can even and smooth your look and provide some contour. A bride's hair, makeup, skin, and gown should come together for a beautiful balanced look.

Here are some of the top reasons to consider getting a spray tan before your wedding:

  1. Achieve a beautiful, sun-kissed glow: A spray tan can give you a natural-looking, golden-brown complexion that will make you look and feel radiant on your special day.

  2. Enhance your features: A spray tan can help bring out your best features and give you a youthful, healthy-looking appearance.

  3. Boost your confidence: A spray tan can boost your confidence and make you feel more beautiful and self-assured when you walk down the aisle.

  4. Save time: Getting a spray tan is a much faster and easier process than traditional bronzing methods, so you can get a gorgeous tan without too much hassle.

  5. Keep your skin healthy: A spray tan can help protect your skin against the harmful effects of sun overexposure while still giving you a hint of color.

Spray Tan Trial

A spray tan trial is highly recommended. Try and coordinate your trial spray tan 2 days before hair and makeup trial or 2 weeks before wedding day. You want enough time that the trial spray tan does not overlap on top of the wedding day spray tan.

Booking Wedding Day Spray Tan & Prep

Your wedding day spray tan should be your last beauty prepping service (waxing, nails, massages, facials) and should be booked 2 days before the wedding date.

Prep

  • Waxing 48 hours and shaving 24 hours prior to tan

  • Mani/pedi spa treatments 24 hours prior to tan

  • Exfoliating is very important, make sure to use an exfoliating mitt, no loofah

  • When shaving use a razor without a moisture strip as they tend to leave a film on your skin

  • Shower at least 4 hours before your appointment to allow ph levels to neutralize and pores to close

  • No lotions, oils, deodorant, makeup or perfume, bare skin is best

  • Wear dark loose-fitting clothing to your appointment
